“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” — Ephesians 2:13
There was a time when distance defined our lives—distance from God, from peace, from purpose. But through Jesus, that distance has been erased. The cross became a bridge, and His blood became the invitation: Come near.
To come near means more than proximity—it’s about presence. Christ doesn’t just want us to visit; He wants us to dwell with Him. In our doubts, He draws near. In our weakness, He stays close. The more we lean in, the more we realize that nearness is not earned—it’s gifted.
So today, don’t strive to be “good enough” to approach God. Simply step forward. The door is open, and the invitation still stands.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing me near when I could never reach You on my own. Help me rest in Your nearness today and live with the confidence that I belong to You. Amen.
Coach Question:
Where in your life do you still act like you’re far away from God—and what step could you take today to “come near?”
